So I decided that this year that I was going to try to watch all of the movies nominated for best picture for the oscars so I would actually have an idea of what i want to win, and also so I could be part of the bigger discussion of what will win, etc.
but then I got a little ahead of myself and said, well I'll try to watch every movie nominated for an Academy Award (not just Best Picture). which is a large large list. and a list that i've only seen 2 of the entries on. and then even more stupidly I decided I'd try to watch the top 15 movies on the AV Club's Year end list (
http://www.avclub.com/articles/best-films-of-2011,66423/) which has surprisingly few crossover movies with the other lists.
So if anyone wants to watch a bunch of probably really depressing over the next month, let's watch them together!
and just 'cause I'm bored at work, I'll help y'all out and type up my GIGANTIC list.
