School Reports

We have a book report and an essay on "what you did over Christmas Break" even though our teachers already basically know what we did. Each one has to be at least two typed pages. I'm not good with book reports or essays-I like writing fiction. My cousin, Kit, who will be coming to Star Valley in May, likes to write nonfiction. She told me she wants to start a little student newspaper called Hard Time News and she wants me to write for it. I hope I can write stories. Nikki says she wants to write a gossip column-there hasn't been much gossip here at the moment, except that Marina and Ralf were getting paint for art class and got stuck in a supply closet. Nikki says they must've kissed or something but I don't think Marina would do that! Oops-she may read this. Well, it doesn't matter, I'm on her side.
I was picked last for floor hockey, in gym class today... Has anyone else ever been picked last for a sport? It always makes me sad, like no one wants me on their team. I hate gym class. I don't do well in it, even though I play on the girls basketball team here. I still don't know how I had accomplished that one but I just tried hard and kept at it.

Jess and Felicity are still whining about Mia and Nicki. Wow, if Nicki comes we'll have a Nikki and a Nicki. I really don't know why they're complaining. I mean, Nicki, Kit, Mia and I all hav freckles and I'm not complaining. Felicity and Jess are the only two making a huge deal out of this and now they're not talking to us-just each other. It's soooo annoying. We still don't even know if and when Mia will come and we don't know when Nicki will come. Or anyone else. Either Nicki or Gabriella will come in July, hopefully. Missy hopes Nicki will come first but it depends on some things. If Mia comes, she might not come until Aug. or Sept. Brooke and either Nicki or Gabby (whichever doesn't come in July) will come next year, probably. And then there's still the surprise girl coming this Christmas-hard to think about that since it's a long ways away.
Well, I suppose I'd better go and work on my homework for school-blah. Kirsten, I hope you Hallie and Rilla have to do the same thing.
