Long Time, No Post.....
Ok, so it may be a little late to start a New Year's Resolution, but I will anyway. I WILL post a bare minimum of once a month, but a goal of twice a month. (I know I should make a goal of once a week, but when I get too envolved in reading....)
Lots has happen since I last posted. Back in November Moon's mom paid passage for Kaya to arrive. Kaya is pretty cool, she's from 1764, but also likes to dress in modern clothes. She still stays loyal to her roots, though. It upsets her what has happened to her people, but is pleased that many tribes that used to fight get together in peace for celebrations.
I thought a new doll arriving so close to my birthday, I would be neglected, but I wasn't. I got a cool outfit. At first I was confused because the box was a 'historical' box, but inside was an awesome orange hippie shirt...and some purple cords. I don't care much for the cords because I hate the sound they make when I walk, so let some of the others wear them. I also got a book about herbs! Some of the stuff I already knew, but some new stuff to learn was cool.
At Chistmas time Moon's mom paid for another passage! This time a girl named Nellie arrived. I must say, Nellie has been a godsend! Nellie is from 1906 and used to work in a factory like Hettie and even though Hettie and Nellie started off on the wrong foot....of course Hettie goes out of her way to make others miserable and start fights...The first thing Hettie said upon Nellie's arrival was, "Oh wow, look, another little rich bitch!" Well. That was certainlly the wrong thing to say to Nellie and Nellie quickly put Hettie in her place! Wow! The fight was kinda awesome to watch...no fists, but quite a yelling match.
Now Hettie and Nellie seem to be friends...even though they argue alot, but ever since Nellie arrived Hettie has not ground up any of my science projects up, thrown away Cavan's paint or beads, deflated Jess' soccer ball, Simone and Isabel's lipsticks have not been smashed, or anything like that. She still turns off the TV if someone is trying to watch it, so she is still a pain, but not nearly as much.
Hettie got a new dress made by bean_bunny and she spent the day twirling around in it, but she still wears her Newsboy hat. I suspect it has a deep meaning to her because she also sleeps with it.
