Tips of success from the Grand Supreme Fic Battle Champion...O_O
Quick everyone grab a pen and paper - she's giving away her secrets!
Right before a Challenge too...guess you want to give us all a level playing field? Or is it pity?
*chuckles* It's pity isn't it. Pip, the number of fics you wrote was super human, even with your advice...I don't think I could manage it in 5 days. Twenty-Three in FIVE DAYS. I just about died and I did half that (a little over half actually).
Still, I'll take your advice (if I end up playing) and we'll see how close I can get to your little record there. We have twice as much writing time this go around. You have to be twice as impressive.
We only have to match last year's record to feel chuffed with ourselves :P
4. Be on my team. :p*sticks out tongue* Yeah, well that's fine for two people...while everyone else will be working to take you down
( ... )
Ahh. All the rules are rather simple. LOL Thank you guys for the help, it could get a bit more difficult with a Team though.
- The sign up ends with the 20. Feb! and the writing starts with the 21. Feb! - It could get really hard for some teams to organise in that short time, with the whole time shift and 3-4 different people. :/
You should steal prompts, pop it into that really useful document you have that charts your prompts, fills etc and only confess to stealing once you've written a fic for the stolen prompt.
Okay taking all the above advice in {count me in as a survivor last time :)}
A question. Are we prompting to the team...or to the individual? How exactly is that going to work that you can prompt for a specific type of fill based on what one of the writers said they'd write? Do you still just prompt to the team?
It says in the rules that "Prompters are not allowed to explicitly specify who on a team should write their prompt. If you name someone it will be screened.". I hope that answers that question.
It's not that you can't hope that someone in particular writes your prompt, but you can't say - This is for Millie, or I can't wait to see what Piper does with this one...one of the problems with the last Fic Battle was (aside from the mess of threads and it being hard to see what was going on) that it did allow for people to play favorites when they're prompting - so this time everything should more fair and there should be more than enough prompts to keep everyone in the game to possibly win.
At least that's why I made that rule. We'll see if it works...

Yeah, you were zombified. But I hear the cure for zombie-ism is surviving a fic battle.
So...you're in luck.
I'm going to turn into a zombie if I'm up much longer...

Oh you think you're so clever. I think Piper's team will be the last team you want to be on, seeing as how it is being targetted by everyone.
*plans to write 60 fics*

THAT is good.

I had that same thought... at least one more day in there would be super-helpful to work things out. :)
