LONG LIVE THE QUEEN! LONG LIVE THE KING! LONG LIVE THE QUEEN! LONG LIVE THE KING!
King Arthur and his new Queen Guinevere stand on the balcony of their castle waving and smiling to their loyal subjects as they cheer them on. Arthur can’t help but feel pride and joy at his wife, he loved those words, his wife, finally receiving the respect and love she deserves, unlike what his father had given her. He knew the people would love her and looked over to see her with a bright smile on her face but a faint blush on her cheeks. She still had some getting used to.
Arthur grabbed her hand in his and she looked over at him and she gave that sweet smile only for him and he kissed her hand, to help ease her nerves. After only being married for a few days, life for them had changed drastically.
Especially after their wedding night, the next morning Arthur and Guinevere declared they would not be sleeping in separate chambers, but a shared chamber and Guinevere’s lady’s chamber would be her private retreat, not her sleeping quarters. As they had claimed, they were married now; there was no need to hide what the court already knew. And as the crowd cheered them on, they knew, they knew she was now their Queen and his wife.
They both waved one last time and then headed inside. They had some preparations to do before the feast later that night and they also had to do the ceremonial ride through the town and outlying villages. They called it the Royal Parade. Arthur mounted his dark brown horse and Guinevere mounted her white steed and they rode through the town and the villages with rose petals being thrown at their feet and red and gold flags waving proudly in the air. She looked like a Queen in her purple silk gown with golden lace details. The crown, which had once been his mothers, sitting atop her beautiful curly hair, looked as if it belonged there. She was every bit the Queen he knew she would be, he caught Merlin’s gaze out of the corner of his eye and he was smiling at the two of them and Arthur nodded his head at his friend. He noticed around him, his knights did the same, especially Elyan, looking on proudly at his sister.
The feast that night was spectacular, with many visiting guests, including Princess Elena and Princess Mithian, who both had become good friends with Guinevere over the past few days since the wedding celebrations. The Lady Vivian, not surprisingly, declined her invitation for a visit, but her father did travel with some of the other Kings and Lords. But as Arthur was greeting and laughing and being a welcome host and King, he couldn’t help squirming wishing to get away and just celebrate with his wife, alone. She was on the opposite side of the room, now that they had finished eating, greeting and talking with the ladies, while he was with his knights and the visiting Lords and Kings.
He caught her eye suddenly and she looked over her goblet at him with smoky eyes with the same desire as his. She was getting restless as well, but she hid it well. They were like an addiction to each other and yet they had their duties to fulfill first before filling that need and desire that burned in their bodies.
“Go to Arthur,” Guinevere heard a voice whisper in her ear and she turned her head breaking that steamy gaze they had been holding with each other.
“What?” She said to Princess Mithian.
“You two are causing more passionate tension in this room than I think these poor people can handle,” Mithian teased, “You are the Queen, the party is held in your honor, if you leave with the King, people will not take the leave offensively if you make the move. We all will still celebrate down here, but we understand you two also need your alone time as well. Go to him.”
Guinevere stared at her new friend with wide eyes and then smiled and hugged her, “I appreciate your understanding and your counsel, thank you.”
She got up and walked over to her husband and rested her hand on his arm. He turned at her touch and she made an excuse to the men and stole him away. That tension between them kept building and building as they walked out of the hall and once the wooden doors had closed behind them, Arthur grabbed her in a fierce kiss and had her pinned against the stone wall.
“Not here, upstairs,” Guinevere whispered through uneven breaths as Arthur kissed her neck.
“You’re right,” He said pulling away and he took her hand and they quickly escaped up the stairs and into their shared chambers.
Once the door had shut behind them, Arthur grabbed Guinevere around her waist and pulled her whole body against him and dug his fingers into her silk covered hips and kissed her mouth like he hadn’t kissed her before. He was rough, but gentle all at once. She moaned into his kiss as he backed her up against the table. The table gave a horrible screech against the floor and the force of their bodies hitting it and Guinevere wrapped her arms around his neck and fisted her hands into his hair. This caused a loud clatter from her knocking his crown off onto the floor, but they didn’t care. Arthur’s hands started to run up and down her sides, in a soft caressing gesture as his lips fiercely attacked her throat and jawline, his teeth grazing against her warm caramel skin. Guinevere arched her head back on a moan and caused her crown to tumble loudly onto the wooden table.
Arthur grabbed around her waist once more and while capturing her lips once again, lifted her onto the edge of the table and Guinevere started to run her hands down Arthur’s back but found his cloak in the way of her getting at chainmail to remove it. She pulled away from his kiss and he gave her a dazed look and she smiled devilishly up at him.
“This silly cloak is starting to annoy me, as is this chainmail.”
She slipped off the table, with her silk dress making a soft caressing sound as she got down and moved around behind her husband. She softly moved her hands over his shoulders and then slowly unclasped the cloak and let it pool on the floor around him. She then moved in front of him and started to carefully remove the wrist cuffs, his fingers softly caressed her wrist as she unbuckled each one and then she started to remove his belt and tossed that on the table with a clatter. She moved onto the chainmail and kept her gaze locked on Arthur’s dark blue eyes, which were filled with desire and love.
As she started to work on the next jacket, he leaned down and started kissing her softly and deeply on the lips, letting the fire burn slowly now between them, making the passion grow more and more each second. Her fingers were now starting to tremble as she untied his jacket as he kissed her and she felt his hands reach for the back of her dress as he started to unbutton and untie her soft silk gown. Their clothes started to fall onto the floor in a pool of red, gold, and purple around them. They were then standing in front of the fire in just her soft white silk under gown and his red shirt and brown pants.
He stopped kissing her for a moment and just caressed her face with his calloused hands and leaned his forehead against hers.
“I love you my Queen,” he whispered.
“And I love you my King,” She smiled and with that, he lifted her into his arms and carried her over to their bed and laid her down.
They finally let that slow simmering heat and passion take over their addictive need for each other and let all the rest of their cares go away. Their bodies moved as one and fit perfectly, they moved against each other in a rhythmic beat that only they knew and could match each other with.
Arthur awoke the next morning with the scent of lavender around him and looked down to see Guinevere resting her head against his chest as she was curled against his body. He loved this, he never wanted to leave this.
Until the loud knocking on the door, Guinevere moved and awoke.
“I don’t want to get up,” She mumbled as she curled even more against him and wrapped her arms around his body even tighter.
“Neither do I.”
The knocking continued.
“GO AWAY!” Arthur shouted.
“I would sire, but you and the Queen are requested for the guests departures,” Merlin called through the door.
“Can’t they see themselves off?” Arthur called through and Guinevere laughed into his chest and pinched him in the side and he laughed.
“You know they can’t Arthur, that’s rude,” She hissed at him.
“Can I just come in and talk to you? This is ridiculous shouting through the door,” Merlin said.
“NO!” Guinevere and Arthur shouted.
“Just tell everyone we shall be down shortly to see them off. Just go and get our breakfast Merlin,” Arthur ordered and they heard Merlin go off.
“Arthur, we really should get up.”
“I think they can wait a little while longer for us,” He said rolling over on top of her.
He couldn’t shake that need for her, he wouldn’t shake that need. He just wanted to spend all day in bed with her, being with her and that desire couldn’t die.
As Arthur started to kiss her, Guinevere gave out a giggle and tried to push him away.
“Arthur,” She said, she had wanted it to come out as a warning but her voice dismayed her feelings and his name came out on a moan and Arthur grinned into her neck as he kissed down it and to her chest.
“We can’t,” She said breathlessly, her voice was betraying what her head was trying to say, but her thoughts were starting to become clouded.
“Guinevere,” he softly groaned into her neck and she couldn’t take it anymore. He knew that would do her in, anytime he said her name like that, she was gone.
She grabbed his face and lifted it back to her lips and took him in.
Just then there was pounding on the door.
“WHAT?!” Arthur and Guinevere shouted annoyed.
“You are requested immediately by the Kings leaving sire and my lady, and I have your breakfast!”
They both groaned annoyed and Arthur just gave a sad sigh and moved away from his wife and quickly threw on some clothes as she did the same and they opened the door for Merlin.
“Shall I help you dress?” He said with an annoying cheery smile.
“No.” And with that Arthur slammed the door in his face and took breakfast to the table that was still covered in papers, Guinevere’s crown and dress from the night before.
“Well, this are things we are just going to have to learn how to balance,” Guinevere stated as she cleaned off room for the two of them.
“So cancel all counsel meetings for the day after everyone leaves due to a headache sound good?” Arthur said with a grin.
“I think that sounds perfect,” Guinevere replied with a sly smile.
Maybe being King and Queen did have it’s advantages after all.
