My parents, Matt and I ended south around 8am Sunday. We stayed the night in Georgia that night. Had Waffle House for both breakfast and dinner. I didn't sleep particularly well. I laid in bed listening to mom snore for quite a while and possibly didn't sleep soundly until she got up around 4:30. Yea, she never sleeps. Then we got to Naples around 3:30pm Monday and had chicken for dinner. Discovered things are really expensive down here.
Spent the rest of Monday relaxing. Went to bed shortly after 11pm and woke early... then said fuck it and went back to bed until around 10:30am Tuesday...
Tuesday... Swam 30 laps (counting down and back as a lap... dad counts each direction as a lap.) and had spaghetti for dinner. Matt and I went for a walk around the villas after dinner. Went to bed around midnight and got up around 7:40am.
Wed. I went for a walk around the villas with my hoop, and was mistaken for being 17. Mom made zucchini, yellow squash pancakes and floured bacon for breakfast. Swam 30 laps and then played tag in the pool with Matt. Tag in a 22x10ish foot pool is rather ridiculous. Got out, dried off, waited to get a shower... instead went back to swimming. I got another 40 laps in before deciding I should stop. Went to Michelbob's for dinner. I had the catfish dinner, which had 3 large fish fillets. I ate most of the fish, 2 pieces of toast and a thing of apple sauce. After dinner we were going to go to the beach... took the wrong roads multiple times. Got to the beach and the sun had already set... went toward the shore but didn't go in the water. I picked up a white shell. Then walked back to the car and drove to another spot to go to the pier. Matt and I walked the pier. Oooohs my gosh that was scary. I do not like not being on solid ground... Got to the end of the pier and dad caught up. People were fishing. There was a girl sitting on the rail of the pier with her arms wrapped around her boyfriend or whoever. As dad pointed out... trusting girl. A bit later a large fish was swung onto the pier. Ewww eww ew ew. A different girl commented to me "don't like that?" or something along those lines. Umm yea, not my scene... not at all. I took that as my cue to go back to where mom was at the beginning of the pier. From there we headed home... and now I'm typing this and my mom and Matt are playing along with Jeopardy. I recognized Andy Rooney's eyebrows... that was all I was able to contribute to this game so far.
