Oh wow, it's been way too long since I've updated... and they've changed formats on this site... bleck.
So... Sunday my group was booked for a gig this Sat. to spin fire for a huge party. 400+ people.
I went over to my friend Brad's house last night. I mentioned this to him and asked if he had seen any of my videos. No. Why not? I don't even look at my best friend's posts about her couponing and she posts about it daily.
Wait wait... me having shared 4 of my fire performance videos is equal to someone constantly updating about couponing.
Couponing is generally not meant to be entertainment.
We're booking parties and I can't even get my FRIENDS to watch.
I wanted feedback. I needed support.
I guess I suck as a friend too... but holy hell if one of my friends asked if I would look at their art I'd look... at least a few times. I admittedly have some people who I've seen/heard enough of their stuff to grow a bit reluctant to subject myself to their work again.
It's a confidence crusher to know that even my "friends" don't care.
Oh well... isn't that how things go anyway?
Friends don't expect their friends to do cool stuff. They see enough of them that they just grow accustomed to the things they do.
Like, "Hey look I can do 50 backflips in a row!" "Yea yea, you do that at every party."
Yea... I'll just pretend they're too used to my awesomeness to be awed anymore... yea yea... that's the ticket.
*sigh* Heh.
