it's been a while, lj
I am drunky drunk drunk at 2 in the afternoon because my sister-in-law and I came to clean my apartment and found that the building manager already cleaned it (long story, unimportant at this juncture.) So we're drinking and watching movies. But, stuff! That I've been doing this summer!
- watching Teen Wolf and getting sucked into the fandom (there are teenagers! I love writing about douchey teenagers.)
- watching Big Time Rush and dreading the moment when I will know everything about them for academic reasons (lol, boyband dissertation)
- really loving Wizards of Waverly Place. There's a whole paper in there about the character of Alex and how she's the classic bad boy figure, except for being the heroine of the show. Also, I can't stand Selena Gomez, but everyone should watch her Love You Like A Love Song video because it is more innovative and interesting than Disney usually allows.
- hating my sister. Which I will probably talk more about in a locked entry at some point in the future.
- having fun with my nieces, who are precious and wonderful. If anyone has book recs for 12-year-olds who read at 12th grade level but have the maturity of 5th graders, I'd appreciate them.
And I can't believe I typed all of that with half a bottle of wine in me. And I need a teen TV icon.
