Phases

It's recently come to my attention that I have a somewhat attractive and highly functional web site with 40+ subscribers [here] that I haven't even visited in over a month. Until today, that is, and look, it's still there!

In celebration, I've decided to make a list of recent failures:

1. Vidding, first and foremost. Not entirely my fault, and I do miss it, but come on, if it had been that important, wouldn't I have found a way? It's only $200.

2. Supernatural. Still on S1. Still absolutely in love with what I've seen so far. Still haven't managed to watch any more.

3. Angel. Dead ended right in the middle of S2. Still love it, just... see above.

4. Returns. Two pairs of boots and one set of Angel S1 DVDs. Two of which are seriously out of the acceptable return period. What is my problem? I honestly have no idea.

5. Having a baby. I know, one of these thing is not like the others, whatever. Let's just say that it was a huge deal, and now it's not.

6. Beer. Not so much. Ever since that day I had three beers while working fom home. Oops. But, you know, I was thirsty, and there wasn't anything else to drink.

7. Young Adult books. I went crazy finding my favorite books. I even pulled out the Harry Potter. The Montgomery. Kilmeny of the Orchard. These are the big guns, here. Totally fizzled.

8. Photography. Had to have that camera, but I'm not using it nearly enough to justify the expense.

9. Icons. I'm not even going to say how many unfinished icon projects I have. It's not cool.

10. Shopping. Really can't stand the thought of it anymore. See #4.

Ten is enough, right? I really can't stick with anything. Off the top of my head, one after another, I have ten things that I was recently really into, and now... I'm just not. Everything is a phase with me, a momentary obsession.

There are more general trends that don't wax and wane as much... Buffy, Veronica Mars, Graphics... but the rest of it just comes and goes and I don't really have a say.

i'm an idiot, huh?
