the happenings of my happening life
I'm dating Lars again (though it's not an *official relationship*) and so far, it's much better than before. We've stopped personally attacking one another and are focusing on having fun, exploring nature trails and exercising.
This afternoon I decided to teach myself how to play guitar (or at least, you know, start the process). I retrieved the acoustic guitar from its case and discovered that A STRING IS BROKEN. How this could have happened when it has been in the back of my closet, inside a case for at least three years is beyond me. However, my keyboard and flute are still in great working order and I have been taking advantage of both over the past week.
I've been reading The Wind Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami and it feels so good to read fiction again. All those ethnographies for Anthropology were great, but sometimes I prefer to envelop myself in somebody's fantasy world instead of their real one.
Oh, and to Stop & Shop's hiring manager, I do not call you on a daily basis because I really enjoy conversing with you, I JUST REALLY NEED A JOB. I'm glad you finally found my application, but I'm only here for another three months and I'd appreciate it if you'd at least call me back when you say you will so that MAYBE I can actually make some money this summer. Thanks.
