Exactly. But the US government is convinced it belongs to the entertainment industry, and so they're going to do whatever it takes to curry favor with them. That's what terrifies me, that these corporations think they can run the internet and the government's handing it to them on a silver platter.

That's absolutely awful. I re-posted on my journal. This makes me really sad and I really hope this thing doesn't pass. The USA doesn't own internet. Censoring knowledge would be absolutely against our Constitution.
