Not putting this on the fandom filter because I know there are friends of mine not on it who write fic, and I'd like them to participate in the pan-fandom challenge, if they would like. This is also why the post is public, so that anyone who stumbles onto my journal may enter.
You know what? The NLB/Hawaii Five-0 fic focuses too much on Rachel for it to really work for crossbigbang. And...I really want to put a lot of time and effort into my au_bigbang fic, wherein I kill a bunch of shinigami over at yokan_fic that I can't write because that AU is special to me. So! I'm going to drop out of crossbigbang and just start posting the NLB/Hawaii Five-0 crossover over at nlb_fic.
iluvroadrunner6, I'm going to PM you a question so I can figure out how old Robert is in this thing. You've got the timeline more set than I do.
And as for right now? Right now I have a Bleach fic & pan-fandom fic challenge for you, all based on one Linkin Park song. Backstory: I was digging around YouTube for LPU tracks because there's a couple I really love that I don't think any of you guys have. And I stumbled across a song from the ninth LPU album called "Across The Line." Two lyrics stood out, so there's two challenges.
Bleach Challenge: I want Ichigo-centric fic, or possibly Ishida-centric (maybe Mayuri related)/maybe Hisagi-centric (pre-victory in the Findor fight) if these lyrics inspire it. Ichigo's had many enemies throughout the series where he's fought them and lost (I'm mostly thinking of Grimmjow, Ulquiorra and Aizen, but you can include filler villians, Byakuya and Renji as well). He may have beat them all in the end, but I want fic focusing on the time between first fight and last fight. I would especially love fic about Ichigo and Aizen (bet you never thought you'd see that particular sentence on this journal), even if you want to include, say, Grimmjow and/or Ulquoirra. The lyrics are as follows:

Pan-fandom challenge: Write any character, any fandom. You can write about a male or a female, just use the appropriate part of the chorus. The weapon does not need to be literal. You are more than welcome to use these lyrics metaphorically, especially if your chosen fandom doesn't have characters using weaponry. Also, it does not need to be a fandom I am involved in. While yes, it would be lovely to be able to read these and understand them, I really just want to generate good fic. Bleach fic for this challenge is good as well, and can focus on anyone. A few things: you do not need to include the lyrics anywhere in the fic or author's notes. All I ask is that you link back to this post by saying you are answering afteriwake's "Across The Line" Challenge. There is no deadline, and there is also no prize (unless you write something for a fandom I know, or are in a fandom I know, and would like a drabble...if I can get Photoshop CS2 on my new laptop when I get it I may make simple icons later if people would like them). And, most importantly? Leave a link to your fic in a comment. Under the embedded video I will start a masterlist of all entries. Just make sure the post is public.
