I had read the first 7? trades last summer but never finished the series. Recently
katiebignuts and I were talking and SiP came up and she mentioned she had all of the pocket books (which seems to be the most economical choice if you're going to collect all of the series). So she graciously lent them to me, two at a time. I started from the beginning (a very good place to start) and yesterday finished it.
Maybe you're familiar with SiP and maybe you're not but so far as non-spandex comics go, (I think) it's pretty well-known. It's been called a romance comic and I guess that's accurate but a lot of the connotations romance comics have are inapplicable.
This comic reminded me a lot of
wagner_crew. The convoluted, complicated relationships and love polygons.
I identified a lot with several characters.SiP reminded me how much I love women. I mean, how big a part of me that is.
