And you keep insisting on equating "No, you may not touch me" and "No, you may not act like my body exists for the sole purpose of your enjoyment or edification" with "You are bad and wrong for having sexual desires." You're not bad and wrong for having sexual desires. You're bad and wrong for arguing that your sexual desires are the most important criteria under consideration.
Micole

Because the way to an egalitarian and less body-conscious utopia is for women's bodies to default to public space. We just don't have enough sexualized treatment of women as bodies instead of whole social persons in public spaces!
Micole, dif. post

This the the illusion of endorsing open sexuality by opening up bodies that aren’t your own for touch! This is a way for you to get your rocks off groping womyn in public and pretending to be deep! This is enforcing the belief that womyn are public property!
naamenblog

We ALREADY have a signifying device that says it's okay to harass us: our female gender. On top of that, we can further signify our sexual availability by walking around in public.
badgerbag

Rachel M Brown

Kate

You don't get that it is false to say "we are all individuals," and foolish to wonder why we can't all treat each other this way; you have not had the experience* of others experiencing you not on the basis of your "individuality" but because of a cloying set of stereotypes and attitudes the parameters of which you didn't set and over which you have no control

My breasts are not a shared common resource.

Touch your own damn self. You'll be glad you did.

Creating copyrightable works is a choice. Having breasts is not. Attempting to equate the two is not reasonable.
Matthew Garrett

I went “GRRRRR” big time and proposed that we ask MEN at cons to wear buttons that proclaim “Groper”, “Sexist”, “Ogler”, “Creep” and “Potential Rapist”. Make them identify, not us.
Liz Henry

I am not an ambulatory therapy object. I am not public property.

I was unaware of any problem proceeding from my intendedly-childlike grabbing of Connie Willis's left breast, as she was exhorting me to behave.
