Classes start Monday, two days. I'm very excited. I do poorly when my life doesn't have structure or regular intellectual stimulation. Break wasn't all bad, I've read a lot and Tampa was very nice, but I'm more than ready to get back to classes.
It was superfun, the other day I made a list of all the books I need to procure for classes this semester and compared new and used prices at the bookstore with prices at Amazon.com, Half.com, and AbeBooks. Then, because at half.com shipping is a lot less if you order multiple from the same seller, I cross-referenced to get the maximum number of required books under the fewest sellers. It was a little distressing how many I would have to get from the bookstore.
Last semester, I made a spreadsheet with all the different prices and how much I saved.
. . . And suddenly I feel like Willow in the first episode of Buffy where she's raving about the new librarian (Giles) and then stops and says "and am I the single dullest person alive?"
And yes, I know I could just take them out of the library, but I have issues with highlighting and underlining and writing notes and whatnot. Also, I'm greedy and possessive with books. MINE!
