When I'm ordering food, no matter where I am, I'm always really polite. I figure it helps balance out all the assholes, at least a little bit. So, I just got back from Kelly dining hall and I got a sandwich. After the girl behind the deli counter handed me my sandwich, I smiled (because I was really looking forward to eating that sandwich) thanked her and told her to have a good night, not like over my shoulder, but really looking at her. And she smiled back and said the same and it was just really nice, a genuine smile. And that made me really happy. Well, that and my tasty sandwich.

Apparently I failed to mention that I spent most of yesterday with new friends. I laid on my stomach on one of their beds and read the last four issues of Transmet straight through. If I have to take more summer courses than anticipated, you will know why; I'm a junkie and they have an impressive amount of crack, the consumption of which is free. I'm slowly accepting the fact that I am actually a social person. I think the fact that I'm also an extremely critical person clouded that realization. Anyway-I told Athena and she was happy for me even though she finds the Science Fiction Forum people (where I met them) creepy, from when she worked in the cafe.

comics, friends, food, happy
