Wow, that was really cool! And it just got better and better as the vid went on. So many great ideas explored here, and of course the core concept is solid.

I thought you did a wonderful job with jump cuts and scene matching. I also like the titles and how they gave the piece a really distinctive feel. It almost felt like a fic, segmented into chapters.

Fav moments:

2;15 - the door slide as the titles leave. So cool!
2:35 - Probably the best use of the Serenity Valley shot I've ever seen
2:58 - the flickers to "miranda." Really ramps up the pace
The chorus just after that is utter bliss and really the high point of the vid, in my opinion. Excellent timing and a very evocative mix of images.
Nice call on the filtered happy moments (dancing to the beat, yay!) changing to sharp as the blue gloved dudes enter.
The little quick merged montage of River's breakdown at 4:09 was a really nice moment as well. You really captured the sense of her completely losing it in that segment.
4:39 - Sit down on the beat. Perfect!
Excellent ending image too. Really drives home the point.

Absolutely loved it; and I think the second half of this vid was the best work I've ever seen from you.

Thanks so much Brad! :) So glad you really liked it - and wow! my best work? :D I'm glad you caught 2:15 - I just really loved the motion and I wanted 'Truth' to remain on the screen a little longer as River appeared on, tying the two together. For some reason, when I play my vid on my computer, I can't see it. I was bummed because I didn't think it made it in, but when I saw it on another computer, it was there. Must be a contrast setting or something.

I'm glad you liked the other stuff - you know how I am with beats. :D Question? Did it come across that from 'the happy moments' to her getting scared by Book/Operative was a kind of dream sequence/her subconscious? I tried to set it apart by making it glowy and bookending it with River falling asleep then waking up.

In any case, thanks for watching and the encouragement along the way. :)

It didn't until you mentioned that, but now I can completely see it. I'm usually pretty thick about that kind of thing as a viewer, which is odd since I use so many conceptual things like that in my own vids.
