I think there need to be a few changes in the way things are done, around here. We've allowed our grief to best us, in the fight for survival. We hold to our homes, rarely venturing beyond the tasks we already know, fearing the extinction of our race and yet inviting it by our own inaction.
To put it plainly: I can't manage this on my own, and neither can you. The only prudent action is to work together, an action which we all know, and an action at which many of us have failed.
Furthermore, infighting and division is not only unproductive but actively negative, consuming valuable time best spent other ways.
From now on, anyone ostracized by this community can find a ready welcome at my home. Including Sylar - including Adam Monroe. The usefulness of these individuals far outshadows any simplistic conception of revenge or justice. Anyone who attempts to hurt them will meet my resistance, and I wish you best of fortune in working around it. I do not fear death.
Furthermore, my own power - which, as I have discovered by losing it temporarily and regaining it - is rooted in my own emotional control. Peter Petrelli, I understand you absorb powers from others. No doubt my power caused you so much distress, several nights ago. I strongly suggest you refrain from gaining it.
David Berman, you are no longer welcome in my house. Please, find yourself somewhere else to hang your hat. I bear you no ill will, but will tolerate your presence, and that of your ability, no longer.
That is all. You may find more changes in my behavior over the coming months. Rest assured that they are of my own volition, and for the better.
