Who: Andy Dowland and Knox
What: Domestic decisions.
Where: On the outskirts of Greeley.

Andy pulls his new coat closer around his shoulders.

New coat. It smells new. Chemical, and kind of tangy. He hasn't smelled new coat in a while, but it's amazing how boldly he remembers it. Smells like Christmas, after all the packages are ripped open and all the new clothes are spread out everywhere, like a carpet.

He sits back on the bumper of the car, leaning against the boxes of scavenged food. Inhaling the cold air. Cold, he'd say. Not quite to 'frigid' yet, but close. It's, naturally, cooler in Colorado than it is in Los Angeles.

"I don't think I'd be a very good farmer," he decides, out loud. "I think too much."
