Pilots
I landed at Paris and was going to refuel, then I saw lights in the Air Traffic Control tower and someones shadow. I threw some debris up into the window someone came to the window, "Who are you?" I asked. He told me the crew of BA Flight BA-4871 had been in the air when it happened they landed and found the airport empty, he said it was nice to see another human face. I asked him whether he could fly his plane to Northumberland. He said yes, but he wouldn't land, I would have to parachute out! "O.K." I said.
Anyhoo, that was four hours ago now, I salvaged a flare gun and a katana, that someone rather alarmingly had been trying to take back to England. I jumped out and felt amazing, it was oddly beautiful parachuting from 10,000 FT and just silence everywhere apart from the planes engines. Ed I am near where Jedburgh used to be (use maps.)
