You don't know me but I'd like to weigh in anyway. God doesn't punish people for specific sins. At least not until the judgment day. He's not going to punish you during your life and take good things away from you because you sinned. He does however have a plan for your life, and whether or not she's in it, it'll still all work out for the best. God has someone for you, and when you meet them you'll know why everything that happened back here was God's plan.
