i just answered all these questions then my computer deleted them all! LAME!
anyway, this has become a kind of tradition in itself, i normally hate these things but as i did this one in
2003 and
2004 and i'm bored, i'm doing it again
1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?
moved in to my own house!
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
a couple i almost kept, the rest i really didn't. i'll prob make loads next year then break them all by the end of january, that's what i usually do!
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
no
4. Did anyone close to you die?
no
5. What countries did you visit?
none. it's impossible to travel when you have a job, uni and way less than no money!!
6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
someone to love. failing that, enough money to survive without always having to beg for charity from my parents :/
7. What date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
probably 6th august because we moved in to the house and we were all so excited about it..
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
i haven't achieved much. probably actually paying attention to classes at uni and doing my work properly, i've never done that before.
9. What was your biggest failure?
just generally being me i think.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
i crippled my foot an a ridiculous way (i ran into abench playing manhunt in the dark) that was in august but it's still a different shape to my other foot, i think i might have broken it without realising :/ i'm too scared to go to the doctors about it though cuz they might have to break it again to fix it :/
11. What was the best thing you bought?
i don't actually know. i have been so skint most of this year, and whenever i have bad money i've spent it all on clothes and stuff and nothing that really stands out as the best thing..
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
everyone at some point but especially chris because he's always been there whenever i need to get away and have a quiet drink and a chat, and because he's the one who acts like he actually wants to hang out with me instead of just putting up with me to try and not be mean.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
so many people. i know most of them didn't mean it but i hope they have all learnt that honesty is the only way and lies get you nowhere. especially trying to cover up those lies with more lies about just trying not to upset people, when really it's all bullshit.
14. Where did most of your money go?
as usual, i have no idea. i havent had much of it this year, but whenever i have, well..... money is for spending and that's what i do best!
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
moving into the house, glastonbury, the martin grech album launch because he personally invited us, and other thigs that i'm not going to put in here cuz i didn't mention it at the time and as it never happened anyway it doesn't matter anymore.
16. What song will always remind you of 2004?
gorillaz - feel good inc
martin grech -guiltless
autolux - turnstile blues
anything by M83 or azure ray
the new mew album
the new queen adreena album
loooads of other stuff...
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
- i. happier or sadder? neither really, just lonelier.
- ii. thinner or fatter? i think a bit fatter because of eating movie munch all the time at work. a diet of popcorn and chocolate is not good for me! i'm still thinner than when i first came to uni though..
- iii. richer or poorer? this time last year i never would have thought it was possible to answer this question poorer again, but sadly its true :/
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
meeting new people, learning how to meet new people, making music
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
staying in and doing nothing when i could have been outside. getting stoned (last year at clayhill anyway, i hardly smoke anymore) and being bored.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
i spent christmas at my parents house, as always..
22. Did you fall in love in 2004?

none. nothing. nada.
24. What was your favorite TV program?

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
i have still never hated anyone.
26. What was the best book you read?
i don't know. i don't read nearly as much anymore as i used to or as much as i should.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
i'm always getting new music, but choosing one as the best is too much effort heh
28. What did you want and get?
my independence.
29. What did you want and not get?
someone to love.
30. What was your favorite film of this year?
i've seen more new films this year than ever before... sin city was good, and the descent and the new harry potter... i've also seen loads of older films for the first time that were amazing (no i'm not turning into a film geek, i just work at blockbuster and get 10 free rentals a week. i also have way too much time on my hands and am bored all the time:/)
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
someone to hug me when everything fucked up. and to make me feel like more than just an inconvenient spare part.

same as always - usually home-made (or emma-made lol) t-shirts and scruffy jeans, or little skirts and chunky boots
34. What kept you sane?
um, nothing. i'm not.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?

the hurricane in new orleans, i know its not really a political issue but it happened and i cried watching the news.
37. Who did you miss?
everyone from back home, emma when she was in kingston and i didnt see her or even know she was there, jesse, claire allen and other clayhill ppl, myself as i uesd to be (sounds ridiculous but its true!)
38. Who was the best new person you met?
i don't think i have met any new people this year.
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004:
that even the people you are closest to are not always what they seem. and that however alone you are, you will always be ok on your own, you have to be.
40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
i can't think of one right now but i will think about it and get back to you!
. yeah.
