Words and Music...
A few words on the weirdness of coming home for the summer:
It no longer feels like coming home when it’s a new house in a new area and your bedroom has no door.
You can’t communicate the same way you did at school.
Growth in everyone, including yourself, is so apparent its frightening.
And now for something completely different.
I’m compiling a list of songs I’d like to cover. Here’s what I’ve got so far:
-Memory Lane by Elliot Smith
-Twelfth of Never by Paul Francis Webster/Jerry Livingston (in the style of Jeff Buckley)
-Extraordinary Machine by Fiona Apple
-Too Much by the Spce Girls
-Exit Music (For a Film) or No Surprises by Radiohead
And now its your turn. Any suggestions? Everyone’s a critic, so I’m using it to my advantage.
