This was not only a lovely story in its own right, but a very sweet reminder of taking little kids to fall festivals :-). The domesticity is so wonderful here as is the look at these two growing into parenthood. I love the different viewpoints you showed on the celebration, That Bill looked at it very differently from the way Laura looked at it. I'm glad you're showing that it wasn't Super easy for Laura to get into the Tauron culture.
I'm sure it helps that they have the cutest babies ever!

Carolanne was an inspired choice to show how someone can get into another culture pretty thoughtlessly and for the wrong reasons.

Finally, I love the significance that you're putting into the tattoos that both accumulate as they live their lives together!

There is just so much to love about this instalment of babytattoofic.

I really enjoyed seeing Bill and Laura get involved in a cultural festival, and I love that you brought Bill's Tsattie back into the plot. My grandmother used to make me clothing when I was a toddler too, so it was really sweet and really wonderful to read her doing that for her grandchildren. And those kids! OMG, they were so adorable in their costumes, and I loved the throwback to the Tauron cherry cake. ;) I wonder if Tsattie will make an appearance in later chapters? *ahem* ;) :P

I loved their run-in with Carolanne, it's just so clear that she and Bill were not suited for each other at all. And I sort of love how Bill was never serious with her; it just breaks my heart that he was with her for so long in the series canon, and that she was so horrible to him and the boys. :(

Tsattie was disinclined to go to the festival because of the possibility of facing retribution for her assassin days by those old Taurons who remember her total badassery. Understandable, right? ;P But in my head, she watches the kids so that Laura and Bill can do their grad student thing. OH ACTUALLY I just figured it out, thank you. She'll be in the next one! You are the best!

Hehee! Of course Tsattie would be a total BAMF. ;) But, with the kids I'm sure she's the best grandma EVER. She probably spoils them with homemade goodies and EPIC bedtime stories. Maybe she wants Bill and Laura to hurry with the grad school thing so she can have another little Roslin-Adama to spoil? ;)

Oh, they make such beautiful babies. I love them all so much.

I wasn't sure what the costume would be, at first, but I was so happy they went as cherry cakes. That's the perfect way to bring it all together. :D

Oh, and I love the organized chaos that is their house. So perfect for two parents juggling school and raising young children.

And the babies: Yay for forming sentences and saying "da!"

I think they're gonna be two of the smartest people in the colonies when they grow up, considering who their parents are and all.

I wish there were a condensed version of Caprica that only has the Tauron backstory parts. :) That would be awesome. But I'm glad you're finding that this (artistically licensed) extension of that story, ~30 years later, stands on its own as a plausible AU.
