Poor baltar, always misunderstood!!

Bill/Laura spending time together in their own place... Sounds nice:)

(does bill have an ex/kids in this verse??)
Edit: to clarify I am 99.99% sure that no ex/kids have been mentioned... But wondered if
It was in your head that CA/L/Z did or did not exist in this a/u?? Sorry if this has been asked before...

There's an allusion to Bill having dated Carolanne (though she's not named) somewhere in Clerks. No kiddies, though! And no worries about asking. I write this thing so out of order that it's hard to keep track of these kind of things... :)

That was just PERFECT!!! I love "Judge Russo" (bless his heart) and Judge Cain was the perfect blend of two of the most...unusual judges I've ever met, and both of them would have done the exact same thing :-D I love that sudden deflation when Laura hears the judge's decision, Bill's calm acceptance of the crazy, and Laura's mind going immediately to protective damage control. All the "fun" of court without having to dress up or find my pumps!

And yay for snuggling in the conference room, and planning to move in together :-D

Now that I know his name, I had to put him in here somewhere! Thanks for the fab prompt, it really helped me get my head back into this 'verse. I'm excited about having Cain around as an adversary in the future. And I love that you found her realistic, based on your courtroom experiences. :)

Oh this was fun. I gotta say I enjoyed seeing Baltar on trial--even if he did get bail. Bill's thoughts about Baltar having a fake British accent cracked me up.

I hope they don't encounter Cain too often...

And moving in together. Yay! ♥ ♥ ♥

Heh, I hope they don't encounter Cain too often, for their sakes, but she makes such a delightful antagonist. And she's a judge where Laura eventually becomes one, so... (yes I have the beginnings of an evil plannnnn...)

I have another little ficlet I want to write about their moving in together. I think there's more to cover, there. :)

They're friends with Romo even though he defends Baltar!

Oh Helena, of course you're a judge <3

Love how they can just segue back into, 'oh ya, wanna move in?'

Oh yes, they're friends with Romo! The criminal bar, particularly in federal court practice, is SOO much more respectful of one another than civil litigators are. It's kind of amazing to see, actually.

I totally thought of you when I was writing the part about remanding Baltar to the custody of the Marshal. :D
