[[ RL - Balthazar ; What do you mean smoking is bad for you? ]]

If there was one thing the Corinthian hated most about his human body, it was the weakness. Not in terms of physical strength; at the very least, that was one part of himself that was still in tact, if not a little dampened. It was how easily the damn thing was damaged for the smallest things. Hunger was a constant he still hadn't quite gotten a ( Read more... )

Watching as Cori appeared on the view Balthazar grinned. He’d spent the last days hanging around the stores, looking, waiting for his prey. He always been a patient man. Dmeon. Both in fact.

And he was going to wait for a bit more, no way on rushing things.

He could probably see the white-haired man twitch if he looked hard enough. Once he realized that walking around really wasn't helping to take his mind off anything at all he eventually found a bench and sat down, a hand cradling his head as it throbbed away.

He probably could have asked Crowley for help, his mind reasoned, but....his pride was a little less than willing. Add to the fact that any mocking comments would have ended with blood on either side and riding it out was a decidedly safer way to go.

Something was off wit the man, Balthazar mused, analyzing every movement, every change on his breathing, every muscle tensing. That was going to be more interesting than he imagined.

The half demon approached him and sit next to to Cori, casual, like he was just another common guest.

For several long moments Balthazar went completely unnoticed, the ex-nightmare too preoccupied with the headache that threatened to tear right through his skull. It wasn't until he sat back and ran a hand through his hair that the other man was given any acknowledgment at all.

Of course, said acknowledgment was little more than a startled glance followed by a dark glare before the Corinthian stood and started to walk away.

"I didn't pictured you like the coward type." Balthazar said put loud, studying his own slender perfect manicured fingers. "You spent too much time with Anthony."

"I'm not a coward," he ground out irritably, pausing just long enough to glower at the man from over his shoulder. "But I'm also not stupid enough to stick around."

Balthazar just laughed. he was playing with a cigarettes between his fingers, like he usually did with the coin.

"If that's a good excuse for you. no need to be ashamed, don't worry about what the others will think."

"Screw you." It was muttered, barely audible over the crowd, but his voice was considerably tighter as he watched the cigarette. Just looking at it had kicked the craving up.

He shook his head, grit his teeth, quickly turned to walk away. This was the last thing he needed, shit.

"If only." It was so obvious Balthazar could practically touch it. The urge, the need, the desire..for smoke, yes, but still something tempting, something that was roaring for attention.

It jsut need to grew a bit more, the half demons jut needed to make it a bit more unbearable. And he did it, because that was he did best.

The ex-nightmare made it all of three steps before he stopped again. His head felt like it was near ready to split open at this point, and his throat and lungs were practically burning at just the thought of the smoke.

One hand went into a pocket, curling almost anxiously around the small chain he now never went without. Maybe just this once, he could bend his pride a little. "....could you spare one?"

The grin that was going to bloom in Balthazar features was just comparable to certain striped creatures with long tails that wait for preys in the jungle. but he controlled his instincts and offered Corinthian the pack of cigarettes.

"All for you."

He didn't waste any time in taking the pack. A cigarette was knocked out just as quickly, and after a moment of shuffling in his pocket for his lighter he lit it, relief briefly crossing his features as the smoke curled warmly in his chest.

The stick burned down to the filter in record time, immediately replaced with another. Lather, rinse, repeat. "....thanks."

Rush, always in a rush. How much he liked that in humans, they always make mistakes because of it.

"You can keep it." He knew that one was not goign to be enough.

The headache wasn't subsiding nearly quick enough, but it was dulling. That alone put him in a slightly better mood.

"If you're expecting anything from me after this you're shit out of luck, I hope you know."

"Just the pleasure of your company will do it, Corin." Balthazar replied in a silk voice.

He tried to hold back the disgusted frown that wanted to cross his face, but he wasn't entirely sure he had succeeded. "You're persistent, I'll give you that," he muttered lowly, slightly muffled around the cigarette in his mouth, already half gone.
