My weekend was crazy. Just plum crazy- both crazy awesome and crazy CRAZY.
Friday night:
bad: tim and I are just settling into our weekend on friday night- I'm playing video games (Baldur's Gate) and tim's cooking (Tunafish), when I hear a "hello? HELLO?" at my back porch. When I get up to investigate, I find an older woman with an oxygen tank. She tells me she just hit my fence when turning the corner and, as we later discover, our Matrix. Sigh... I see ahead of me countless trips to the auto mechanic and getting an estimate on our fence...
good:
factorykitchen and
xljisretardedx hung out and there was much rejoicing. I like those kids. We got to drink awesome beers *except the Hanami, which is teh suck!*, talk about getting/being married, pets, crashing stuff, business card design and other dorkeries. Tres fun.
Saturday:
good: *got tickets for Playa Del Fuego for me,
thewrongtim and
pippryn *acquired said PDF tickets while hanging at bluehouse with
kazoogrrl and
ding_0 *bought a new pair of big, black 6 guage funky tribal earrings at The Baltimore Tattoo Museum
*sat on the porch and drank beers while reading The Penelopiad by Margaret Atwood
*gigged at Joe2 Pizza and had a blast
*got a care-package from 1L and Dave's housewarming party that I missed
*ordered out from Mr Chan's
bad: *missed
green_eyed_soul's housewarming party
Sunday:
good: *planted seeds with
thewrongtim in our backyard (sunflower, mesclin mix, jalapenos, beets, basil)
*taught dance classes
*sat outside in the sunshine a bunch, trying to finish Hanami beers
*finished That Yellow Bastard by Frank Miller
*cleaned the house
*finally have got down my song for Frazier's (May 4th)- hellloooo Amy Winehouse!
bad: *stranded
poetekzen due to dying cell phone (my cell has been not ringing/shutting off at random/not giving me messages until hours later)
*may possibly have missed business opportunities because of said cell phone (2 messages from early last week that I just got...grrr)
*feeling like sometimes it's so hard to communicate what I do physically for my students.
TODAY: I feel drained and would like more napping...
