Book Recommendations?

I find that after only two days of absence from university and my English degree that I want to read a book! However, I have absolutely no idea what to read. That's where hopefully you come in. I know I have at least a couple of bookworms on my flist so I was wondering if you could recommend any books for me to read.
Your all-time favourite, your most recent read (as long as you enjoyed it!), even books you've heard great things about but haven't read yourself. Any genre, any length, classic, modern, anything goes.
I would love you for ever if you could provide me with some suggestions.
