Things look promising when you are obsessively interested in a course before you take it because you just spent an hour reading the textbook and thinking "awesome, awesome!" every few pages. (It helps that the book was written by my old advisor, who is idiosyncratically hilarious, and thus so is his book.)
I just hope my other classes turn out to be as fun.
(This term? I'm taking Thesis (again), Computer Security (the awesome class!) and Old English and Scandinavian Epic and Saga. (I highly suspect that one will be awesome, and not just because I like the prof and my friend Juniper Caustic is in it. She threatened to throw me down a staircase today, but I guess that's fair since that's pretty much the first thing I ever said to her, aside from hello.) Also, I'm auditing Sociological Classics, which is Marx, Weber and Durkheim, so that should be interesting, if occasionally brutal.
