1. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before?
Moved across the country. Started grad school. Worked the best job of my life. Had allergy testing and ate peanuts, walnuts and mangoes.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't think I made any. The only one I'm going to make this year is to be good to myself and to those I love. :)

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes, in fact. Congrats, Nell. :)

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.

5. What countries did you visit?
None this year outside Canada.

6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
Money would be dandy! Some furniture for when we move into our place in Toronto in May.

7. What date from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
April 16 (accepted into Masters program), September 1 (moved to Vancouver).

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting into the Master of Publishing!!!

9. What was your biggest failure?
I don't know if it was my failure or not, but the drama-rama at the end of the swim season and the loss of a friend.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nope.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
Laptop, though technically I didn't buy it. :)

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Craig's, for his willingness to move out here with me with no guarantees of finding a job. Most of the people in my program deserve celebration for being amazing. My family is amazing too.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Michael's, for nearly ruining my semester.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Um, school.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Moving in with Craig and starting grad school!

16. What song will always remind you of 2007?
Under my umba-rella, ella, ella, ay, ay, ay ... and anything by Fall Out Boy.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder?
Happier. :)

ii. thinner or fatter?
Fatter, but much, much happier with my body.

iii. richer or poorer?
Hmm. In actual money in the bank, poorer, but with the promise of two giant scholarships coming in mid-January.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Reading.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Obsessing.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
Just spent it with extended family, and Craig, in Saskatoon.

22. Did you fall in love in 2007?
Always falling in love with my boy. Awwwwwww.

23. How many one-night stands?
None.

24. What was your favorite TV program?
Heroes.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
I'd say yes, but I don't like to think I hate anyone. But unfortunately there are a few - some of which I've cut out (re. swim drama-rama), one of which I'm stuck with for another semester.

26. What was the best book you read?
Hmm. Kushiel's Scion.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Oh my. Probably Lily Allen.

28. What did you want and get?
Admission to grad school, a gorgeous bracelet, a laptop!

29.What did you want and not get?
More money ... a flattering wrap dress.

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
Um. Ratatouille? :)

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I was 23. Worked, ate candy and cheesecake, went out for dinner and drank a sugary ice-cream-based drink, went home to an ice cream cake from my dad. TOOOOO MUCH.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Discovering Health At Every Size (HAES) sooner.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007?
Working on "professionalizing," but the funds are low.

34. What kept you sane?
Craig.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Davey Havok, Mike Fisher!

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Reproductive choice!

37. Who did you miss?
I still miss the lost friendship, but the person has changed.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
Amazing people in my program. :)

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2007:
Reproductive choice is still a struggle and still an issue we need to fight for.
