Alright while plot-wise it does leave something to be desired, the acting in it is really great. I was impressed by the young actors take on Hannibal, and Gong Li is the shit.
I do have to say there was that weird aunt-nephew love thing going on, on the other hand it does explain Hannibal's semi-Oedipus complex in the final book.
All in all a fine movie made better by the presence of Rick. :)

Dear other theatre audience members,
If you know you are going to see a movie that is 1) R rated, 2) going to involve murder of some sort and 3) involving Hannibal Lector in any way shape or form please don't squeal or moan or whine about how gross something is. It is minorly annoying.
