harmonium
tonight after teaching class i hopped on rick's ole harmonium
i've never played a note on one in my life
i'm not musical like my friends and i realize the harmonium is not that hard to play
but somehow i played the asatoma mantra without thinking about it plus a few other lil ditties
twas strange only in that every time before i sat down at a piano all that comes out is nervous scratch and noises created by embarassment
perhaps it helped that nobody was around and i had just finished teaching so i was really relaxed and my inhibitions subdued a bit
regardless it was a significant moment for me
i am going to make one of my new years intentions to learn to play an instrument and play with my inhibitions a bit more too
