Gavin DeGraw!!
Yesterday I went to see Gavin at Shepherd's Bush Empire in London! It was absolutely fabulous!! Gavin is verrry dreamy :)
To start off the day Kait and I left @ 2:30 to go to Boots so I could get my pictures printed out for Gavin to sign. We got to the tube and had to wait what seemed like forever and we got to the venue around 3:25. We were worried that we had missed the M&G/Soundcheck sign in so we asked this girls (from Ohio who got flown to London to see Gavin) what was going on they said no one had gone in. Then I saw this woman with a list, mind you we didn't win and in America winners of contests need about 100 proofs of ID to claim their prize. This really nice girl from the UK Gavin message board saw that I didn't win the contest and she had won so she was going to let me use her prize, I thought *oh sweet they'll change it to my name* but no they couldn't do that so we had to pretend to be her. So the lady with the list asks us our names and Kait gives her the fake name, and she was looking in the first name bit and she had given the last name and I was like oh it was her last name she finds it and ticks us off. We didn't have to show ANY ID! And seriously if we had broughten about 50 more people they all could have gotten in haha!
So we go in, no list at the door or anything seriously most unorganized EVER! Anyway we make our way upstairs to the bar and we are waiting around then Kait spots him, and we were really excited!! It was like no other M&G I had ever been to...we were all in a lineish thing and Gavin came up to us really awesome. So about 10 or 15 minutes of waiting it was our turn. The woman with him was like ohh can I see your picture? I gave it to her and then Gavin signed Kait's thing and he asked our names...unfortunately he thought we were British and we had come back again b/c he played in London in September. He signed my picture and I asked if he would sign my cousin's picture he did then I told him her name was Whitney, and he wrote to: Whitney on it! YAY!! Then the woman asked if I had a camera, and I was like HECK YES I DO! And I gave her my camera and Gavin said "Come here, hold me" Kait and I melted. We went to either side of him and posed for a picture! It came out so nice!! After our turn was up I took candids of him and they're real cute too!!

We stayed in the bar for about a half an hour more just hanging out doing nothing really. Then I spotted Andrew Berkowitz and I was really excited b/c he worked with O-Town and he was just so cute!! I actually knew he was gonna be there b/c when we were outside giving our names the Americans we saw had to talk to him to check in for their M&G thinger. Anyways while we were waiting I realized the woman & man with Mr. Berkowitz were Gavin's parents...I descreetly told Kait of my knowledge and stood against the bar listening to their convos. When Gavin was done with the British M&G he went over to the corner near the front of the room by where we were standing to sign the autographs for the Americans. Kait and I were just standing there and Kait wanted to get some pics so she told me to come over and I took a picture then I noticed Gavin's mom was talking to this girl & her friend behind me so I just turned around...and butted into the convo they were talking about the places they'd been and how the girl had won the M&G and skipped out on the afternoon of work to meet Gavin. Then they were talking about where they lived or something and I asked Gavin's mom if they still lived in New York, she said they did then like 5 minutes later the other girl asked the exact same question I was like uhh I just asked her that. When Gavin was almost finished with the American M&G we went down for soundcheck.
At first Kait & I were 2nd row for the soundcheck but these two people left to go wait out in line so they'd have better spots for the actual show. So we moved up to the front. I called Sarah to make sure she was on her way so we'd have good spots in line when we left (Bwahaha we're terrible) Gavin didn't play any songs that I knew the words to, but he played this song Yesterday over and over so I learned the chorus haha! Soundcheck lasted until about 10 past 6ish or so. When we got outside it was sprinkling a little but no worries we got inline. We had to pick up our tickets @ will call so we were trying to figure out where that was, I figured it out then I waited in that line to pick up my tickets then went back and waited inline (after we went to Subway) until 7 when the doors opened. We had it planned out that we'd stand to the right of the stage a bit b/c we were off to the left during soundcheck and the mic stand on the piano was covering his face (bad angle for pics). When we got in we managed to get 2nd row!!! Behind these 3 hookers all doing their makeup before the show!! I could NOT believe it. Anyway we stood infront of this chimney, seriously smoked about 5 cigarettes in 10 minutes no kidding. The opener sucked! Ok she wasn't that bad but her voice wasn't very strong and her music seemed to over take her singing. After 4 songs she was done and it was only 8:15..another 45 until Gavin was coming out. The time did seem to drag along but we made do...about 5 minutes before Gavin came out the pushing began. I was NOT giving up my 2nd row spot!
Gavin came out at 9 and started with Crush and it was so amazing, we had an awesome view. It seems that people think they can just push people out of the way b/c 3rd row just isn't good enough. Anyway Kait and I got separated by more hookers who tried to move me out of the way...at one point I was digging my foot into the ground so they'd stop pushing me b/c I was right infront of the mic stand!! ENJOY!!! Gavin is too cute, I loved the whole performance! He at one point put this girls strapless bra on..yep that girl without a bra was behind me. Really funny stuff!! Well that was quite long, if you read it all I must congratulate you!! I can't wait to see him again!! *sigh* Gavin :)

This weekend we are not going anywhere!! YAY for staying in!! Going out to dinner tonight and to see some fireworks. I love London! Although I'm sick again...3rd time...what the h??
