Stuff n' Things
So Friday morning Travis called me and told me his friend Emily was in town. Emily last visited like 4 years ago, but we got along famously in the short time we hung out. Since I had nothing to do, the three of us headed over to the Huntington Gardens. It was really fun. I really like botanical gardens, and these ones are really nice. We even got to see a mom duck and 5 little teeny fluffy baby ducklings! They were soooo cute! And they were totally unafraid of people, so when we met on the path, they just walked right by us. Like, RIGHT by us; maybe 5 inches from our feet. I had to seriously restrain myself from reaching down and picking one of the babies and snuggling with it. I SO wanted to.
Saturday my friend JQ (yes, that JQ) called me. I went over to his place around dinner time, we ate homemade 7-layer dip, and he whipped up some De-lic-ious grapefruit Mojitos. Yum! Then we walked to a yummy Mexican place for dinner. After dinner, we hung out a bit more, and then some friends of his came over. Eventually, we went to some low-key party, but it was kind of lame, so we left after about 15 minutes. It was really great to see him again; it's always fun when we hang out.
Sunday was the regular Sunday. I had church, then an acting coaching. There was an impromptu visit to West Hollywood late in the evening, because Tim called me up and told me people were meeting out there. It was fun. I didn't eat or drink anything, just hung out.
Tonight is Melissa's recital. I'm going early so I can help her mom set up the reception. I know, I'm such a nice person, I can hardly stand it.
