Oh, Martinis
Cable meltdown at work yesterday, had me melting down. I called six of the fix-it guys in town, but since it's been drizzling they don't want to do electrical work.....ON THE INSIDE OF MY OFFICE. Morons. So, my friend's husband came to do the work. He's a damn specialist, at $120.00 an hour. Didn't charge me anything, just usual lewd commentary.
But a great thing has come out of this dark situation.....for payment, we're taking them out to dinner. Reasons I win:
1) I don't have to cook.
2) Wonderful Los Arcos martinis
3) Girl time, since the guys always end up fantacizing about Jen and I getting it on.
4) Hot tub afterwards!!!!!
Little Mar had his first day of school. He moped all the way to school grounds this morning.
Upon arrival at the class room, I found his assigned seat right NEXT TO his best friend/nemesis. Should be an interesting school year. The teacher was warned. That's all a wicked step mother can do.
