You know what I watched on Christmas day? If you guessed the Doctor Who Christmas special, then you were right! :D And you know what?
It was everything I dreamed of and more.
There were sharks. IN SPACE. Well, flying. Whatever, still awesome. There were crazy adventures, and little boys growing up, and timey-whimy-ness, and wibbly-wobbly-ness, and awesome lines, and madcap schemes, and miserly old men, and a love story that broke my heart, and a bittersweet happy-but-not-quite ending, and fezzes, accidental marriages, and angst, and just about everything you could ever ask for in a Doctor Who episode. Just. ♥
And wee!Kazran was just as adorable! Seriously, I wanted to pinch that boy's cheeks! And then hug him and tell him everything was going to be all right. The three of them, off on their madcap Christmas Eve adventures! My favorite line of the entire episode, besides the one I have for the title, was "You know what boys say in the face of danger? Mummy." I died laughing. I could not stop. Eleven's delivery! ♥ That man is a genius. There were so many other good bits too, some of which you really have to be paying attention to actually catch.
Kazran: Are you really a babysitter?
The Doctor: I think you’ll find I am universally recognized as a mature and responsible adult.
Kazran: It’s just a lot of wavy lines.
The Doctor: Yeah, it’s shorted out. Finally a lie too big.
AND THEN THEY KEPT COMING BACK. EVERY CHRISTMAS EVE. LOOKIT HOW BIG HE GOT! SO CUTE! ♥_♥ There are santa hats! And fezzes! And long colorful scarves! And bowties! *be still my heart!*
Seriously though, I have found myself a little cynical over romance lately, but I went totally mushy at the love story between Kazran and Abigail. They're just so adorable! And so bittersweet and agnsty and lovely! *wibbles* I mean really, guys, I can't even! ~feelings~
I luff them now so much. *huggles* Fic nao plz be yes?
(You can listen to the lovely lovely song she sings
here.)
And Eleven. Never change. Never stop being ABSOLUTELY UNABLE to take a hint. Never stop giving really strange and yet somehow deep and spot-on advice. Never stop giving me endlessly quotable material.
Kazran: I've never kissed anyone before. What do I do?
The Doctor: Well. Try and be all nervous and rubbish and a bit shaky.
Kazran: Why?
The Doctor: Because you're going to be like that anyway. Might as well make it part of the plan and then it'll feel on purpose. Off you go then.
Kazran: Now? I kiss her now?
The Doctor: Kazran, trust me. It's this or go into your room and design a new kind of screwdriver. Don't make my mistakes. Now! Go!
Pleasepleaseplease tell me that is what he did after Amy kissed him.

I watched an episode from S3 right after it (The Lazarus Experiment, as it were), and the whole time I just kept thinking, but Eleven would say this, or Eleven would do that, or Eleven wouldn't know an awkward situation if it came up an slapped him in the face. I kept waiting for Ten to be Eleven, which is quite silly, but I guess it just goes to show how much I love Eleven. :)

Speaking of the third season, I am really, really enjoying Martha now. This is a bit of a surprise for me, because I was really not expecting to like her all that much. I'd seen a few episodes already, and I was really wary of the whole 'pining after the Doctor' thing that she's got going on. I was afraid that it would define her character too much, and that I'd spend most of the episodes going okay, but when do we get to Donna? To the contrary though, Martha basically spends the whole time being a total BAMF.
Like really, this girl gets shit done. And she has epic, adorable sexual tension with like every attractive guy she meets along the way, despite pining after the Doctor.
Shakespeare: So, tell me of Freedonia, where women can be doctors, writers, actors...?
Martha Jones: This country is ruled by a woman.
Shakespeare: Ah, she's royal, that's God's business, though you are a royal beauty.
Martha Jones: Whoa, Nelly. I know for a fact you've got a wife in the country
Shakespeare: But Martha, this is town.
Frank:We just gotta stick together. It’s easy to get lost. It’s like a huge rabbit warren. You could hide an army down here.
Martha: So what about you, Frank? You’re not from around these parts, are you?
Frank: Oh, you could talk. No, no, I’m from Tennessee, born and bred.
Martha: So how come you’re here?
Frank:Uh, my daddy died. Mama…couldn’t afford to feed us all. So, I’m the oldest, up to me to feed myself, so put on my coat, hitched up here on the railroads. There’s a whole lot of runaways in camp younger than me. From all over; Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas… Solomon keeps a lookout for us. So, what about you? You’re a long way from home.
Martha: Yeah, I’m just a hitcher too.
Frank: You stick with me, you’ll be all right.
Riley: So… uh, you’re off then. No chance I’ll see you again?
Martha: Not really. It was nice… not dying with you. I reckon you’ll find someone worth believing in.
Riley: I think I already did.
*surprise!make-out*
Martha: Well done. Very hot.
Tom: There's a lot of people depending on you. You're a bit of a legend.
Martha: What does the legend say?
Tom: That you sailed the Atlantic, walked across America. That you're the only person to get out of Japan alive. ‘Martha Jones', they say, ‘She's gonna save the world.' Bit late for that.
I'm pretty sure some other good stuff happens too, but I haven't seen it all yet.
And apparently she ends up married to Mickey? Which idk how I feel about, I liked Tom a lot. Hmm. But whatever. I freaking love this girl. I love how strong and capable and independent she is, and how in the end she goes her own way because she knows she has to. Really, this girl is boss and finding all this stuff has only made me love her more. ♥

So, who's excited for S6?
Doctor: I’m going to need a SWAT team ready to mobilize, street maps covering all of Florida, a pot of coffee, twelve jammie dodgers, and a fez.
