I am definitely enjoying it. I just wish there were more regularly occurring females. It's like, I can't get attached to any of them! Besides Murphy, who is awesome but continually left out of the loop, and mainly just a way for Harry to get police info. And, of course, Bianca. Who is my new tv girlfriend. ♥
But besides that. I do love this show. Bob cracks me up so much. xD I definitely have to check out the books like I've been meaning to.
I don't know when it was that I gave up on female characters. I just did at some point. I so very very rarely come across girl-characters that I can really seriously support. But that's probably because I mostly find that male/female romance kills all the awesome that was going on. It's probably the lack of ability to have both likable and badass female characters. Who don't moon over the boys. Because to be badass they have to be standoffish. And if they're standoffish, I can often have a harder time liking them. (Cos I'm like, "Yeesh, what a bitch.") Then there's there's my issue with boys and girls and romance which I have yet to even begin to understand. *lesigh*
Erk. I probably come off like some sort of crazy misogynistic person, which I'm not. But I have such a hard damn time with TV girls. D:
Haha I'm like, exactly the opposite. I have trouble getting into something if I don't have a female character to relate to. So, I'm going to have to disagree with your comment about likable and badass female characters. I've seen many of them. Off the top of my head (though you might not be familiar with them all): Annie from Being Human, Annie Walker and Joan Campbell from Covert Affairs, Maka Albarn from Soul Eater, Parker from Leverage, Katara from Avatar: the Last Airbender, Myka and Claudia and H.G. Wells from Warehouse 13, Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games series, etc.
But then, maybe we would interpret them differently. Like, what you see as a standoffish action I might see as more sympathetic. So I suppose to each their own. :) I'm open to discussion.

Harry Dresden... Man. I think he's one of the most brilliant characters I've ever run across.
