Buddah works for the FBI?!!?
Okay so as many of you probably know I work in customer service at TMobile. Well I get lots of strange calls a day, but none of them will ever compare to this one.
We start the conversation off very claim and collected, he is asking about his balance and why his phone is suspended. I go on to tell him that its because (big shock) he didn't pay the bill. Then it happens...this nice little man that I was talking turns into this yelling machine. At first because of his really thick accent I can barely understand what he is saying. Then I understand that he just called me evil. For some reason I get taken back by this because for the past three years I've worked there I've been called everything you could think of but evil has never really been brought up. So I'm mentally giving him a kutos for coming up with something original.
Then he starts to tell me that I'm such a horrible evil person that I need to go to the chapel right now and pray to God to forgive me before I get punished. Now, I'm sitting there with my mouth hanging open, so I start to tell him that we need to keep it on a professional level because there is no reason for him to act like that. Then he says "No, you need something stronger than God in your life, you need Buddah! I worship Buddah and I'm going to make sure you are punished by God and Buddah. So need to worship and beg for forgiveness." Then I start to laugh. He is still talking about how evil I am, but I hit the mute button and can't stop laughing. Now I should remind you all that the last thing I said was, "The phone is suspended because of non-payment." But we are twenty mintues later and I haven't said anything. He tells me that he hasn't received his bill, and that if he doesn't recieve a bill that people tell him he doesn't have to pay, because he has talked to everyone in his apartment complex and they tell him that it is against the law for TMobile not to send out a bill. I interrupt his rantings to tell him that we did send out the bill however the postman returned it back to us because the address was wrong. He then starts to yell even later telling me that I am a liar and I'm going to hell. Because he knows his address is right and that he needs to pray because my evil doings are going to cast shadows on him. I ignore him completly and say what is your address. Then this freak gives me an address that is no where near the address we have. I tell him that the address was changed by him calling customer service last month. Then he says, you liar you liar I never changed my address you are evil and need to beg for forgivness against your sins for lieing about my bill. This is when I mute it and laugh more, and let my neighbor hear him through the ear piece talk about how much I need Buddah in my life.
It was killing me, I had to do it, so I ask "What does Buddah think about you jugding me? You don't know me." And without a moment of silence for him to think about it he says "The FBI knows the truth, you will be punished."
That knocks me on my ass!! Because now I'm like wait... did I miss something?! Does Buddah work for the FBI?!!?
The call ends with him telling me that God and Buddah are going to discuss my punishment for him not receiving his bill, and he will leave it in his Buddah's hands. I tell him okay, that sounds fine with me and thank him for choosing TMobile and he hangs up.
*yawn* Just a day in the life of a customer service rep.
