You know what sucks? Meeting an awesome group of people your last month of school. It really ticks me off that my friends and I didn't meet this group earlier, because I feel like some great collegiate friendships could have been made if only we had known them sooner ( Read more... )

I am really excited to graduate, but I am sad too. I think it'll hit more when I realize in the fall that I am not coming back. But I am so ready to be done with the school part of college that it is probably blocking out the fact that I will have to leave all my friends too.

I know what you mean about jobs... I've had some killer internships and leadership positions with a pretty decent GPA, and while I haven't really gotten awards or into societies, I feel like I'm a good job candidate. I've had a few interviews but haven't heard back further, so that is just frustrating. It's like, what have we done wrong? So many things right but something is missing that we don't have jobs yet!!

Ugh, it's miserable! I'm glad you're going through the same thing, as awful as that does sound. You know what I mean though.

I feel as though if you don't have the "right" major (finance, health, etc) and you don't know the "right" people, you're kind of screwed.

I think this summer I'll be doing a lot of hunting and taking mediocre jobs until something decent comes along.

best luck to you!! what jobs are you applying for?

Yeah, I sometimes wish I could go back and choose the "right" major! Of course, I wouldn't have enjoyed it, but still, I'd have a job!

So far I have interviews for a PR firm, HR at an insurance company, a sports marketing company and marketing at Pepsi. Most of the jobs I've applied for are something with marketing/advertising. Who knows what'll come of it all!

good luck to you too - you'll get something!
