A month from now, I will be somewhere over the Atlantic Ocean on my way to Europe, first stop Londonsomewhere. Baha.
Money issues (regarding university & living expense things) still not resolved. Our bank man is slow on the uptake of things. I can't afford to go to university and be working full time at the same time, so I'd like to know what this money covers, you know, before I apply for the school.
Grad's still coming up, I'm sick of talking about it. I want my shoes to get here, I want to size my dress, go to the banquet, squeal about we're graduates and omg keep in touch, then be done with it.
Still spending my weekends with Tyler and enjoying it quite a lot! He's switched his hours so he has Fridays and Saturdays off to chill so that's peachy. He bought season one for me and I bought seasons two and three of Arrested Development, so I'm set. Actually, I was set. I've already watched them all. save the bluths~
School's fine, I'm getting better at C++ and not staring blankly at the screen for an hour a day. This is because the teacher was writing code incorrectly in the notes, the compilers didn't work (and still don't, there's an elaborate set of rules as to how to actually run your program), and a lot of problem solving from my teacher, to anybody, is "Why don't you google it?", "Matt, come help out ____", or "I'm not really sure.. *wanders off to help someone else*" .
So a big shout out and thank you to Johnny, who is a lot more helpful and knows everything there is to know about coding things, for sorting me out, from Alberta, via msn. Clearly my time spent in lab 105 is going to the birds.
I've got a huge project about Saskatchewan due on Monday, which I haven't started. ... goddamn. that is all.
English is good, we're reading In Search of April Raintree. I read this in the summer after grade 10 when I was dating Bush (which is relevent to the point that I read it cause he had just read it in his grade 12 class, said it was good, so I took it out and yes), so I've already got the gist but it's enjoyable and funner than the bland Canadian short stories we were reading. To be honest, this book's just a longer version of a depressing short story, but it's aight, it's aight.
Looking much too forward to moving out at the end of June. Something will no doubt come along that I didn't expect and screw everything up, and then I won't have time to be worrying about the little things like:
not forgetting to buy a brita filter because I like it better.
do they only start your rent on the first of the month, or will I already be able to have it paid for sometime near the end of june (as in, after the grad thing can i go home to my new apartment, or will i have to wait until july 1)?
i hope it's a bath bit, not one of those little square showers.
is it worth bringing my piece of crap dvd player, or just using the one in tyler's xbox?
avoid stocking up on trinket things like decorative.. stones. they will get dirty, broken, and i don't want tyler's friends mocking him for having little heart shaped rocks and the like lying around. (more specifically thinking about these stone hearts with cutesy words on them that I bought because they were pretty and like two bucks).
random junk. weight scales, windex, power bars. so on.
quiet down.
I'd like to go to bed soon but as I napped from 6ish till 9ish, I'm not really tired yet.
incognita, HOW SCANDALOUS.
I miss Katie, and I hope her lj stops being blocked. Damned aol.
and good luck to Daniel.
I don't have anything earth shattering to talk about.
