feels like sunday

I'm going to brush my teeth. I'm going to come back to the computer, stare at the screen for a bit, and try to sort out the summer.

I mentioned a few entries back (all right, so I've only got a few entries) the idea of Tyler and I moving in together. I didn't know how to tell my parents. When my dad and I were driving home from Regina, he asked what was on my mind. I said simply, "The summer." "Oh, are you and Tyler renting a beach cottage for the summer?" I don't know why he asked that especially, but that led into "ahahah, funny story actually..." and I explained everything.

He said it sounded like a good plan, but that i'm Too Young. I don't like to think I'm stuck then, I just don't know what to do to counter that. Tell them I'm mature? Tell them we've put a lot of thought into it (well, i said that)? That it's only for two months, we'd be working and so not just slacking off? That I wouldn't have to get rides into town 5 days a week and back for work then? That mother would have no reason to go on about me getting in the way and being a nuisance? That she wouldn't be taking my money for gas money then without telling me? That it's just freaking Regina, not a plan to road trip to BC and try to make it there with my boyfriend for two months? Tell them that if it (namely, living there) wasn't working I'm not so stuck in pride that I'd live on the street before I came back to living here? Tell them I'm not going to get addicted to drugs/booze, I'm not going to get knocked up, -- anymore than the chances are now?

Saying I'm too young just sounds like such a poor argument. (enter: another poor argument, on pip's part!) If 17's too young because it's not officially legal, official legal ages also say I'm too young to drink & (buy) smokes anyway, so officially, nothing would go on at the apartment. Something like that.

Maybe I'll look back at this journal or somewhere ages from now and laugh at myself for thinking I was Old Enough. Maybe I'll deny ever wanting to, if I have kids who want to leave for awhoppingtwomonthstosomewhere25minutesaway, to back up my own reasoning for not letting them.

Something like that would be so good for the relationship, I think. Even if it made us hate each other and break up, at least we'd know? Seeing each other once, maybe twice a week for a few hours at a time doesn't give the best idea of how you'd get along together all the time, one would think.

I just really, really hope it works out. A change from how things are just now would be much appreciated.

Mm, happy 4:20 if that's your cup of tea. It'd be mine, if I had anything stronger than Excel gum in my room. At least my..my incorruption? is minty fresh.

I don't know why I'm down just now. I think I just want change. -- and only I can bring that about in my life, how dare I sit and wait for opportunity? Anyone can bring it about themselves, but everything is consequential (I understand that's not a new idea by any means). Summer, for example. That's change, I'd do it, but at this point it's not up to me entirely.

Will probably delete this later due to lack of content, organization, point.

edit
My imagination is pretty, I like it.
The last couple days though, all I keep getting are depressing, violent scenes and I don't know what to make of it (other than some form of bleak film that wouldn't get the recognition it deserves?).

I think I bring people down. Cheer up, Pip. D:

moving in, summer, blah, tyler, whining
