Hello, teatree-icons here. As I said in the last challenge post, I will be taking over most of the moderator duties for affirming_faith from 000sundancer000, although she will be around from time to time. I will be posting with my personal journal larkspurlazuli instead of my icon journal teatree-icons. I have been part of this community since 2005, and I love it to death. The glorification of God through art and the encouragement of the Church is really important to me, and I hope affirming_faith can continue to advance that purpose. I will do my best to keep the deadlines in the future, and I plan to go by the schedule and rules posted in our userinfo, so you can know that whatever you read there will be accurate and current.

In terms of contests, I am thinking of alternating between photo challenges, where you make icons from provided images, and scriptural or lyric challenges, where you include words from scripture or songs but use your own images or provided images. This is pretty similar to how things have been done in the past. Do you like this kind of format? I am open to suggestions for other challenge formats or ideas. Furthermore, anyone who would like to suggest challenge themes may do so at this post. If there is a particular scripture passage that has meaning for you or an image theme you find compelling, chances are that we would all like it!
affirming_faith is in need of a banner maker! You would need to commit to making at most four banners once every two weeks, although you would be switching off weeks with netbug009. Anyone who is interested in helping out around here by making banners, please comment on this post! You do not need to prove that you are a great graphics maker, but I would like to see someone who has experience beyond MS paint, please. Banners are not a necessary part of an icon contest, but they are the icing on the cake. :)
