Celebrate Good Times.

I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am to be finishing up this summer. I had no thing as a summer vacation this year, but it will be totally worth it to be completely done come December. I think it will be my favorite Christmas yet. Tomorrow is the final day of studenthood for me. I have my poli sci final to take and then I get to come home, which is kind of ironic because everyone else is just getting ready to leave to go back to school.
This is the first fall in 17 years that i don't have to go shopping for school supplies. Undoubtedly I will still hit up the sales, but for supplies as a teacher, not a student. Furthermore, why in God's name have I been in school for 17 straight years. I think I really need to go out and throw a party for all of this because I don't have to take another class for 2, count them 2 whole years. (then I have to start master's work so I don't get my teaching license taken away, but that is another story entirely.
I will miss my freedom and independence for the next 407ish days, but teaching so early in the morning and potentially having a night/weekend job will really take up any of the time I have left over for hanging out anyway. Plus there is that whol fact that I really enjoy my sleep and perhaps I could get back into some sort of schedule resembing that of a real human being. Christopher will have to deal with the fact that our phone conversations will end promptly at 11pm, but then again think of all that time he has to be a bachelor college kid with the rest of his friends.I have to email Alice to let her know I will be home for the remainder of the "summer" and see if she needs anything from me. Maybe she'll have another fbulous task for me to complete before we start the year. Oh joy. The politics of teaching.
Plus, I just found out I have to be video taped teaching during the first month of school! HOW RUDE. I realize they want it to how the growth and progress I have made over the semester, but way to put the pressure on early folks. Not to mention the enormous project that will be my online portfolio, which i have to do to graduate..... since I'm so good with technology and all.... blah.
I will live in SCS permanently, once again in 24 hours kids. WOO!

P.S. I Love You
