I have had a mad week. I've finished uni now but I had my last essay in for History of English on Friday. I was nearly finished it, 150 words away, so I thought 'Better save this now' and then I lost 1000 words of it! So I was pretty hysterical. It was 12:30am and it was due in at 3pm! But then I just decided to go to bed and finish it in the morning, which I did. I'm unsure of how good it was. I could remember most of what I'd done on Thursday night so just replicated it as near as possible.
I have never felt so stressed though as I did for that half an hour on Thursday night! Always save your work at regular intervals kids. And don't leave it til the last minute either. (although no doubt for my next essay I will do pretty much the same, I never learn.)
I FINALLY finished reading the Wind Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami. I'm still not sure if I liked it and/or understood it really! I prefer Kafka on The Shore anyway. I would read that again but not the Wind Up Bird chronicle.
I've started Midnight's Children by Salman Rushdie (seem to be on a bit of an Asian literature kick at the moment). Only 25 pages in, it's very good so far though! Quite whimsical and lovely. Of course, I am reading this inbetween all my revision ;-) Got my first exam on Wednesday so I'm revising over Lexical change which is very fun. Ahem. Then I will have to try to re-read some of my plays for my last exam on Tuesday.
I've been on a big Lacrosse kick, they're a swedish band I discovered via Last.fm recommendations. I apparently listened to 160 of their songs last week! So much! They're good background music for revising/essaying though I think.
