Scholarship

Today I was looking at this Scholarship application my mom wants me to fill out. It's for the Commerce Bank American Dream Scholarships. There is one section you need to get filled out by a teacher or community advisor, and one question on it caught my eye. "The applicant's ability to set realistic and attainable goals is: [ ] excellent [ ] good [ ] fair [ ] poor" It think I need to work on my goal setting skills so here we go. Goals:
  • learn to play piano better: have mini lessons with Jason and Andrew, get piano lesson books, learn scales and arpeggios
  • loose 10 pounds: I know, you probably think it's silly, I just want to eat healthier, exercise more, just be healthier in general. You have no Idea (nor do you want to know) how I eat, or what I ate tonight.
  • create a better practice routine for horn: I want to be prepared for college, I don't want to just be the typical freshman, who is among the worst and adjusting and blah blah blah, and ugh, i just want to be prepared
  • do my homework, and prepare well for AP Tests: I want to keep up my GPA for scholarships, they are very important, cause all that I don't get in scholarships I'm going to have to take out in student loans, and I want to get my AP credit because it will save me a lot of time and money too. Imagine 8 theory credits and 4 math credits
  • actually get into college (AHHH WHEN WILL THE LETTER COME?)

  • Anyway, there are some goals. I'll try and update on the progress. I think they're good goals that I'd like to work towards. This has been a revelation in my life.
