Here we are, trapped on a boat, but I don't suspect there's any chance I'll be able to do any fishing while I'm here. Unless somebody around here knows something I don't. [He hasn't been here long, so he's hopeful. Hakoda isn't given towards eating much food that he didn't kill.]

[The lazy part of Sokka really, really has gotten him to like the buffet.]

A man likes to earn his meal, Sokka. Don't you agree?

[Sokka makes a vague gesture with his hand that his dad can't see. He starts to say something, drops the thought and picks up a different one. He was GOING to say something about how kidnappers should be giving him his meals free-- as they were-- but, eh.]

Mostly, yeah? I'm not the BEST cook, though.

[And you cannot hunt and kill BBQ Potato Chips.]

Are you still leaving all the cooking to Katara? [BOY. He thought he raised you right! Oh wait, he was doing that too. With his mom. And his wife. And with Katara.]

No! No, the buffets here are really, really good. I don't think I've seen Katara cook since she got here. I could be wrong, though.

They aren't bad. I haven't really seen anything from back home, though.

[Leave it to the young to adjust quicker... then again, Sokka has been here for a while longer.]

Once you get used to it? It's really, really good. There are this crispy things, too, kinda spicy...

[You might hear a crinkle as he pushes a bag under his bed.]

I guess I just need to find something new to occupy my time, now.

There's, uh. Whittling? Well, that's kind of boring. Exploring the ship is always interesting, I keep finding new places. There are giant bees on one deck.

[That's right. Just Bees.]

I have to wonder about other people's worlds. The kid didn't even know what a platypus bear was.

Yeeeeah. I don't really... I mean, you know how bears are weird on our world, right? Maybe... normal animals are rare on theirs, or something?

Strange to think of a world like that. The food must be awful.
