(no subject)
soo i'll update ya all on some of my college life.
my room is all right, not too bad except that it's not air conditioned and its HOT down here...ugh. i did end up getting a roommate (just like i thought i would) and she seems really nice, somebody that's cool to get along with. she dropped off her stuff today but she's moving in officially tomorrow.
i've been doing all the orientation stuff these past few days, taking tests and getting classes and all that. i've got all my dance classes, beginning piano, calc (! i tested into calc! wtf!), and i'm on the waiting list for psych 101. i got my ID and all that too.
i've been kinda lonely since nobodys really here yet, but the dining hall opens tomorrow and it's the official moving-in day so i'm sure i'll have more to do then. i met some dance peeps at orientation, ashley and tommy. they're both really nice and seem like cool people, and tommy lives in my dorm.
anyway, what i need to do is go give myself some classes this week because doricha (my advisor) said rehearsals START on monday. she said the studios are always open so i'm thinking i need to go up there and do some stuff (considering i live right across the street from the dance building! sweet) and we all know i haven't danced for about 6 weeks. my ankle is doing fabulously, surprisingly. and i'm not being sarcastic, it's really good. i'm psyched about that. ashley told me she has a stress fracture so i won't be the only one with issues.
anyway, i'm now officially addicted to mtv and vh1. since i get CABLE FOR ONCE IN MY LIFE!! yesssssssss. laguna beach all the way.
oh yea p.s. i set up my own printer and internet down here. and it pretty much took me all afternoon to get the internet thing to work. i was on the phone with tech support for forever. retarded crap.
i love the campus down here, it's really gorgeous. it's like a park kinda. i walked around downtown yesterday, there's a lot of cool restaurants, starbucks, and an URBAN OUTFITTERS!!!!!!! and i found out where all the frats are. you know. just in case i ever need to know.
i need to take a shower. public showers. gotta love them.
i doubt any of you will drive 6 hours to get down here, but if you ever want to come visit me, just let me know!
oh yea. bloomington doesn't do daylight savings time. so it's an hour earlier now, but in the winter it'll be back on michigan time. STUPID.
