Shrimp Fest

This past weekend was a lot of fun. It was necessary after last week, which was a bunch of hooplah. Our company boat 7 new boats, which means like 50 more people, which in turn means more drama. It was a good week, just busy.

Thursday was a good start. I had to go downtown to a 'computer class' which was kind of a joke considering it was just me. Literally. So I completed the class in like 45 minutes then I decided to go meet with the parents. Dad got back home from a long stay in Tampa Bay. Mom and I had a plan to go get our passports. We went to Office Depot to get the pictures done, but they are not doing passport photos right now. So we blew that off. We went to Fabrixx. Mom found an awesome floor rug for the den. I told her to go ahead and get it and we would all put in for her birthday. It is a beautiful rug and she loves it. We went to Martin's Wine Cellar for lunch. Then I went to work around 2:30 pm.

On Friday night, Lauren, Val and I went to Corky's bbq where we ate too much. haha. Then Michael met Lauren and I at the Clearview Palace. We saw "The Seeker: The Dark is Rising." It was good. Afterwards, we were pretty tired so we went to bed. Saturday we watched football all day. Lauren came over and watched it with me and Gram. The LSU game was mighty stressful. About 5 hours of constant stress. LSU ended up losing in 3 OTs. We went from being ranked #1 to #4.

Sunday I went over to Daphne, Alabama. I met Michelle and her friend Mary, then we went to Gulf Shores for the Shrimp Fest. It was a gorgeous day too. We ate fried pickles, fried shrimp, had lemonade and chilled in the VIP tent. It was a great weekend. Now I am back on the grind at work. Unfortunately it is only Tuesday, but we will take it one day at a time.
