the past month

so....ummm...i'm going to poland?

the past month has been filled with studying, exams, women's centre/scsu wrap up, work, and preparing for poland.

the studying and exams part went pretty well.  i'll be yelled at if i say that i'm dissapointed with my mark for andrew's class, because my annual gpa is otherwise fairly perfect (enough so for my boss at academic advising to even make fun of me!).  but it does point out to me that the one english course i took all year is also my lowest mark by 6% from the next.  thinking about graduate school, i could probably still get into an english program with a 3.7 cgpa and 3.7s in english courses...but perhaps a focus in women's studies (and philosophy) is a better idea.  who knows, though, that law school thing is still a possibility.  i'll probably do my LSAT next summer, just, you know, for fun.

women's centre/scsu wrap up was emotional, of course, and weird now that people ask if i'm still involved in the women's centre or what lendyl's up to, but i think good for everyone, in a way.  continuity was also the last women's centre board meeting.  aquilla, who is fantabulous, made a little speech at the end.  i talked a little, but didn't want to start crying.  and then it was the scsu board meeting, my father picking me up, and it was abruptly over.  jeff and i talked about titles recently--if your title gives you responsibility or if you take it on yourself.  i am still the equity-feminist person on campus, at least for now, which helps.  apparently that has something to do with the type of leaders we are....

other than the 8am wake-up call, work is great.  ken and i get to talk (while we work, of course...), we're ahead of schedule mostly because this year we know what we're doing, and ken lets me event plan in my obsessive-compulsive kind of way.

poland...monday morning, 9:15am flight.  yikes.  i'll be back on the 30th, for all those i'm supposed to see upon my return (la-nai, darren, jeff, etc).  a week of visiting holocaust memorial sites and crying.  but good crying, and in an anti-racism leadership kind of way.

i'm also busy applying for some scholarships and figuring out if i should drop the one course i'm enrolled in.  ah decisions.

so that's my life, in case anyone was wondering.

*smile*
