BobTheNameless: I believe that the ewoks and jawas are completely eperate in their importance in the star wars storyine. To handle one at a time, Jawas were essential to introducing key characters to the story, namely those of C3P-O and R2D2. This brings the droids to come in contact with the future jedi Luke Skywalker, and jumplines the story as R2D2 reveals the plight of one PRincess Leia. THe Ewoks are also a key point to the story, albeit much later on. They assisted the Rebels to besiege the moon of Endor in able to have the main fleet strike at the Death Star while it was vulnerable. Without the ewoks assistance, what with there careful planning or traps and all, it may have been a failure. In addition, the ewoks brought many to admire them due to their cuddliness, thus bringing forth a different target audience for the Star Wars series: the girl.
